The Enclave

WILLEM VAN DE SANDE BAKHUYZEN — VARA — 2002

This three-part mini-series shows the sociopolitical drama surrounding the fall of the enclave of Srebrenica, through the eyes of three protagonists. Eight years on, the former Bosnian Dutchbat interpreter Hadzic (Ramsey Nasr), Serbian sergeant Bokan (Frank Lammers) and the Dutch Minister of Defense Terhoef (Johan Leysen) are confronted again at the Yugoslavia Tribunal in The Hague. The common thread in this triptych is Hadzic’s story. He works as an interpreter at the Tribunal in The Hague and only has one goal in mind, which is to find his missing family.
