Lepel

WILLEM VAN DE SANDE BAKHUYZEN — LEMMING — 2005


Family film about the nine-year-old boy Lepel. After the mysterious disappearance of his parents, Lepel has to live with his wicked grandmother Koppenol, who uses him as a servant. When Lepel gets the chance, he escapes and hides in a department store. There he befriends the tough girl Pleun who secretly lives behind the ties. Together with Pleun, Lepel tries to find his parents and they are helped by a friendly salesman from the department store who is secretly in love with the store manager. However, his scary grandmother does not just give up easily and wants to capture Lepel again.
