A’dam – E.V.A. (Amsterdam And Many Others) centers on Adam, a bright-eyed newcomer to Amsterdam, who leads a lonely life burying the forgotten dead for the city, but when he moves next door to the beautiful, cynical Eva, he realizes he’s met the love of his life. In three seasons, we see Adam and Eva growing from strangers to friends, then lovers, parents, and ultimately even foster parents of two adolescent kids; life in a pressure-cooker. Their personal story coincides and crosses with personal stories of dozens of others. People they don’t know, but who do have an influence on their life. This shows us, as viewers, in how many visible and invisible ways we are all connected to each other. The series was recently chosen as best Dutch drama series since 1990 by a jury of leading journalists, industry members and media specialists of the Netherlands.
